People Grow Up...

15:54 Sep 27 2009
Times Read: 672

people here make me tired. the stupid attempts at causing drama must make their sad and lonely life enjoyable. There is no good reason why Iron Heart messed up a profile. None that I will accept. Its juvenile behavior on his part. I suggest before he's given a coven. He has to grow up first. Thats all im gonna say on this. I really want to rant but that serves no purpose. So why did he do it? dont have a clue. Just that he wanted to start drama. well if thats what he wants. How very sad for him.

got cable?

06:54 Sep 26 2009
Times Read: 677

I finally got the cable and phone and the internet upgraded on road runner. personally i cant tell if its any faster. I had to laugh when i sat down and watched tv. ive not had cable in three years. i havent watcfhed tv. I watch my dvd's on my computer and that was fine. why i laughed was because in those three years, ive not missed much. but was glad the phone is turned on now and i feel back in touch. Not so isolated as before.

I now have a black and white persian cat named Zeus. My friend Pat who decided to stay in new york, and leave the moving to her daughter renee, didnt come back for zeus. So her son in law was going to take him to the dog pound. which would put him to sleep and he doesnt derserve that.

Zeus has one major issue. He likes to wake me up at five in the morning, gently pawing at me to wake up. Im glad hes declawed. ive tried to ignore him but doesnt work.

Turning my way

05:31 Sep 11 2009
Times Read: 714

It seems now my life is finally turning the other way. I moved to a new home and found out today that Ive been approved for my disability. Which is a huge relief. I no longer worry about whats going to happen to me or how im going to make ends meet. Granted, living on a fixed income is rough. but cant be any rougher than ive already had it.

Some of my goals have been met. And i think those were the hardest. I do see some light at the end of the tunnel.

WHOOO HOOOOOO!!!!! Congrats on the disability!!!!

I know when I finally got it, it was a big sigh of relief, because I wouldn't have to feel guilty for not bringing a paycheck in, or for being a burden on someone else. Things are looking up for you dear......its about time.

just a moment to reflect

September 11th, 2001

Woke up to a robin egg blue sky that morning. I had not been up very long. I had taken my can of coke and my cigarettes and the morning paper outside on the deck, to sit in the sunlight and read.

Life in a small town is slow. We are never in a hurry to get anywhere. Always time to sit and talk to your neighbor and gossip. My roomate Marcy was sleeping when the phone rang. It was her mother, she said to turn on the news, and said the wtc had just been struck by a jet airliner. I turned on the tv and watched black smoke billowing up through the sky. I ran and woke her up and we both sat there in our night clothes, glued to the set

We watched as the second plane hit. At that point nothing to do but cry. As we watched until the towers fell. Then the news broke that a third plane had crashed in shanksville pennsylvania. Then the pentagon had been hit as well.

We watched as the news was broken to President Bush. And then we heard the borders to the United States were closed. All planes grounded. At that time I was forty one. I thought I had seen it all. I was wrong.

One thing that has stayed with me since then is how quiet it was. No dogs barking, no traffic up or down the street or the highway just around the corner. Just stunned silence. Oklahoma and wtc are the two that stand out in my mind as nothing but murder. In a sense watching the towers was like watching a murder and you couldnt stop it. The emt's and police were brave. I have never felt more appreciation for them I did then and still do.

what has 9/11 taught us? taught us that this will never happen again. And i pray to my goddess that it never does. We saw the best of humanity that day and I hope we never lose it.
